The next step to build a cheap fence is to attach the vinyl coated wire mesh fabric to the fence rails. The fence material is attached with a staple gun and many staples. A nice feature to vinyl coated wire mesh fencing is that you do not need any special tools to stretch the fence. You only need an assistant to help you unroll the fence material as you staple it into place.
Notice the 2×4 on the ground. This supports the vinyl coated wire mesh material as you unroll and attach.
Pull out a few feet and begin stapling a corner and then the other corner. After that, staple every few inches. As you staple, keep checking and adjusting to be sure that you are staying on the center of the fence rails.
Once you reach the last fence post that the welded wire roll will reach, cut off the excess and staple the end to the rails and the vertical 2×4 that was placed on the fence post in earlier steps. It may seem like a waste, but I found doing this step provides a more uniform and strong fence.
